HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER
The
Connecticut Association for Home Care has four membership categories. Please
read the descriptions below to determine membership eligibility.
Membership
Categories, Applications & Benefits
Provider Agency
Membership: available to any licensed home health care agency, or
federal or state sponsored home care program, or staffing agencies, or
official public health nursing agency, or homemaker/home health aide agency,
or hospice agency, or agencies providing related home care services,
operating in the State of Connecticut. Annual dues are based upon agency
expenditures as reported in their Medicare Cost Report.
Affiliate Membership: available to a
sister subsidiary or a parent holding company which has a licensed home
health agency, or in its absence a homemaker/home health aide agency, within
its corporate structure, as long as the subsidiary licensed by the State of
Connecticut as a home health agency is an active member of the Connecticut
Association for Home Care, Inc. Annual dues are $867.
Associate Membership: available to an
organization whose services relate indirectly to community health and home
care, and is not a provider agency. Annual dues are $867.
Individual Membership: available only
to individuals who are on the staff or Board of a provider agency or
affiliate member, employed by an educational institution and not eligible in
any other category, employed by an official agency not providing direct home
care services, any individual who was previously associated with a member
agency, retired individuals, students not otherwise eligible, or any
individual practitioner not otherwise identified. Individuals associated with
the Board or staff, either through direct contract or direct employment of a
non-member agency or program shall be ineligible. Annual dues are $86.70
($40.80 for full-time students and retired individuals).

Networking, Information & Referral Services
· Opportunity is
available to network with other members.
· CAHC Membership and Referral Directory, updated annually and distributed to
members and over 150 referral sources throughout the state.
